A great way to have fun while you're on break!
Prologue
“President Aidan, we are ready for your presentation," said Aidan’s adviser. “Good, I will be there in a moment," Aidan replied. He still wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to go along with this plan, but he had to play his part. “That’s it stop thinking about it, you are going to do it," he thought to himself. He stepped out onto the balcony and began the speech that would change the world . . . forever.
Chapter 1
Nico
The speech . . .
A few hours later right before school . . .
“Mom I don’t want to go to school today," wined Nico. He couldn’t believe that he had to go to school on a supposed snow day. “You are going to school and that’s that Nico'', his mother replied. “It’s a school day today," she reminded him. Nico knew that, but it didn’t look like a school day. It had been snowing for hours and hours.
There was so much snow outside.
He had no choice though, his mom was sending him to school snow day or not. “Goodbye Nico and be good," his mom called to him. “I know mom," Nico called back. On the way there he met up with his two friends Percy and Annabeth. “Have you seen the news yet," Percy questioned? “No why? Anything exciting happen?" Nico replied. Both of his friends gasped. “Don’t you know? The president cancelled Christmas," Percy replied sadly. “What," Nico screamed?! “Well I guess it’s time to go find Santa," Nico announced. “Uh, no one has seen him in years, what makes this year different,” Percy asked, confused and excited. “He has to help us, the president cancelled Christmas," Nico said, trying to convince himself as well. “Let’s go," Nico called.
Chapter 2
Percy
Later, in the North Pole . . .
“It’s Freezing," Percy complained. “We’re wearing tons of gear, how can you be that cold? I’m sweating in here," Annabeth replied. Percy didn’t know how she could stay so warm when it was clearly freezing. “We have no time to argue, we have to find Santa," Nico replied hastily. “Stop right there," a mysterious voice announced.
Percy looked up to find himself staring right into a weird small creature. “Who are you,” Nico asked, his voice wavering.
“Me? Why I'm Toymaker, an elf and you are," he asked boldly.
“I’m Nico and these are my friends Percy and Annabeth," Nico said warily. “Well I have to bring you in any way," Toymaker told them. “But," Nico tried. “Don’t try to tell me otherwise you're coming with me and that’s final," Toymaker announced leading them away.
Chapter 3
Annabeth
Later, 10 minutes before taking off on Santa’s sleigh . . .
“I’m still not sure about this Santa," Toymaker complained. “They don’t look like they can help us," Toymaker said matter of factly. “Now Toymaker, everyone is doing their part for Christmas now Nico, Percy and Annabeth are going to do theirs," Santa explained.
Annabeth still had a weird feeling about Toymaker like she wasn’t sure what to make of him. He seemed like he had his own plans about what Santa should do.
“Come along now," Santa called to her. She realized that she had fallen behind. She rushed to catch up to them. “Were here," Santa called. “Santa," Toymaker complained one last time. “Toymaker that’s it, you should not be so rude to our guests. I’m assigning you to midnight watch," Santa announced. Annabeth didn’t know what that was, but from Toymaker complaining so much about it it must have been a bad assignment. “Well it’s time, let’s get in the sleigh," Santa called to them.
Once they were all tucked in tight Santa called to his reindeer. “Go on Dasher, go on vixen up up and away," Santa hollered.
Chapter 4
The president
Later in Aidan’s (the president) home
"I’m not sure about this," Aidan thought. “I always liked Christmas," he thought sadly. Crash, bang, ow. “Hey I thought you were able to drive this Percy," complained someone. “It felt like I was on a tricycle with an elephant as the driver," laughed another someone. “I couldn’t have been that bad," someone else complained. “Come now we have to go find Aidan," said a voice that sounded familiar breaking up their conversation. Footsteps approached his door. “Oh no," he thought. “They’re coming," he thought to himself even more scared. “Aidan are you in here," the mysterious voice called. How do they know who I am? I am freaking out! Crash. “Ahh," he screamed.
“Who’s there," he said warily. “Are you the president," someone called from inside the living room? “Uh yes," he called back. “Why did you cancel Christmas," the voice called back angrily? “I . . . I uh . . . I," he managed to stammer. “I didn’t want to, I was forced," he muttered. “Why should we believe you," the voice said, still angry, but also curious?
“I can prove it if you come out," he said, still afraid. “What do you think Santa? Should we believe him," the strange voice called? “Yes I'm fairly certain we can," Santa replied. “I’m sorry Santa, I should never have agreed to do this," he told him sadly. Santa took the note and read it. “Ah, I see,'' Santa said. “My old friend decided to pay you a visit,” Santa told him.
“I’ll deal with it later, don’t worry,” Santa called to him. “Now, it’s time for you to undo what has happened,” Santa told him. “Yes . . . it is,” he said miserably. “Well then, let us go,” Santa announced. Off they went back to the balcony where this mess all started. Nico, Percy, Annabeth, and Santa took to the air to get back home while he sat there waiting for the reporters he had called. Once they arrived he began the speech that he had practiced for barely a minute to end everything he had started. “I would like to take back what I said earlier and now I will reinstate Christmas,” he announced. “Hooray, yes, Christmas is back baby,” the crowd called!
Epilogue
In the end, everything turned out okay. Aidan undid what he had done. Nico, Percy and Annabeth got home just in time for Christmas and Santa delivered all his presents in time. He also dealt with his old friend. You want to know who he is? Well, then you’ll just have to wait. Until next time, reader. Merry Christmas!
The End!
