I just learned about Disc Golf about two week ago, and in that time it’s only been fun, fun, fun. When I first heard of Disc Golf I thought it was just something about golfing, but after I started to actually play it, that’s where the fun starts. Disc golf is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. It is usually played on a course with 9 or 18 holes. There are 4 types of discs distance drivers, fairway drivers, mid-ranges, and putters.
When And Where Do I Use A Putter?
In addition to using a putter to finish a hole, the putter can also be used as a driver and approach disc.
When Should I Use A Distance Driver?
The best time to use a distance driver when you need to throw far to get to the basket. Did you know that the Innova Boss disc got thrown a record breaking 1,108 feet! That’s incredible!!!
When Should I Use A Fairway Driver?
Fairway drivers have great control and balance! If a player has a slower arm speed then fairway drivers will go just as far for them.
When Should I Use Mid-ranges?
They’re great for typical distance. Due to their ability to glide they are perfect for both shorter tee shots and longer upshots.
What Discs Are Good For When I’m Starting Out?
It’s recommended to buy a starter pack of three discs which will include a driver, mid-range, and a putter. If you’re interested go to the link below to buy!
